Let face it, the indigenous peoples have far more empirical knowledge about the growing, harvesting, and using, of these plants than anyone! Thus, the indigenous people are ethically employed and paid a fair wage to harvest these plants, under the direction of specialists with literally decades of experience in the identification, processing, and application of Traditional South American Medicines. By providing fair wages and ethical employment, the indigenous people can afford to not sell their land to logging companies or big agra (eco-terrorists)! Through this cooperative, sustainable venture, the indigenous people’s land can stay alive and turn a profit to combat poverty, and the rest of the world receives much needed medicinal plants as well as the ecological benefit of keeping the rainforests alive!
Since these botanicals are sustainably wildcrafted, they are not treated with chemical fertilizers or pesticides whatsoever. After harvesting, the material is washed in sterilized water, dried in a low heat drier, and finely powdered for packaging and export. No chemicals, alterants, fillers, preservatives, heat, or radiation are used in the growing or harvesting of these plants whatsoever! They are brought to you just the way that nature intended, pure, with all beneficial compounds still in tact. Additionally, since our supplier sustainably harvests small amounts at a time, the material is often in your hands a mere month or two after being harvested! We would never support large scale destructive harvesting of these botanicals only to have them sit on shelves in warehouses for months or years!
Its important to note that the distribution chain for these botanicals is short. In fact, our material changes hands just twice in getting to you; from our supplier to us, and from us to you. Sadly, many herbal brokerage houses in South America are dealing with material that has changed hands so many times that the original source is unknown. Furthermore, oftentimes positive identification, freshness, and contaminant issues are overlooked in favor of making a much needed sale. Most herbal distributors in the United States require only a Certificate of Analysis (which anyone can type up and sign) as proof of the positive identification and quality of a botanical (for liability purposes). Thus, there are many questionable materials of questionable quality floating around the marketplace. Because our supplier controls the growing, harvesting, processing, and distributing processes, you are guaranteed to receive correctly identified, fresh, potent, material every time you order from us!
These are generally special order items from the manufactuer and will take 1-2 days to come in stock. Since our usual processing times are 1-3 days, these items generally do not delay your order from being shipped out on time.
