Ephedra Distachya grows in western to central asia as well as in Southern Europe and has a long history of folk use in these regions. This species contains primarily Ephedrine and Pseudo-ephedrine, which generally make up close to 80% of the total alkaloid content of the plant. Minor alkaloids include norephedrine, norpsuedoephedrine.
This material is sustainably wild harvested from mature 10' tall plants. Only young, green stem material is harvested. Once harvested, the material is rinsed and tied into bundles and hang dried in the shade. No heat is used in the drying process and the material is harvested to order- Resulting in material that is very green in appearance and very pungent in aroma. Needless to say, this material boasts a much higher alkaloid content than material found elsewhere! We are happy to offer limited quantities of Ephedra Distachya to our customers.
Whole Material- Not cut and sifted, not powdered.
